IS DIABETES CURABLE? Learn More About The Top 4 Diabetes Myths.

Is Diabetes Curable

Is diabetes curable? That is a question of some people affected by diabetes. Many myths that diabetes can be cured, it is not entirely true nor completely wrong. Why is that?

That because basically a disease destructive organs. If someone has infected by the disease, then one day they will definitely experience it again despite treatment and doctors have said that they had been cured. A disease can recur because the immune system of a person or consuming food or drink that is prohibited by the type of illness. Therefore, it is important for us to always keep our health in order to avoid the disease again.

That applies also to people with diabetes. Because diabetes is also a disease that damages the organs in the body, thus making the organs do not function normally. Actually, in this case, the question is not "is diabetes curable?" But rather "how to lower the risk of diabetes?"

With so we can live peacefully without any worries about the diabetes illness, because at least the effects of diabetes can we press as little as possible so it does not interfere with the performance of our organs.

But it would not hurt if we know some of the myths about diabetes healing that 100% could eliminate diabetes from our body.

The first myth is about “ Is type 1 diabetes Curable? ”

You can prevent type 1 diabetes. The reality is Type 1 diabetes could not be cured. But the type 1 diabetes disease can we lower the risks by providing special care and body insulin therapy. So you can live with a normal life without having to worry about the negative effects of this disease.

The Second Myth is about “ Is type 2 diabetes Curable?”

To lower the risk of type 2 diabetes, the first thing we need to know is the cause of diabetes itself. There two factors that can cause Type 2 diabetes, that the most dominant. Namely, because of Heredity Factors and Lifestyle unhealthy Factors.

An unhealthy lifestyle can be the unhealthy diet. when eating too much high fat and sugar calories. For Example, sugar can have a negative impact on your diet plan if healthy fruits and Vegetables replaced with unhealthy foods such as candy, cookies, etc.

Maintain the body weight to remain ideal is the key. This is because being overweight or obesity can increase the possibility of the body's inability to control blood sugar using insulin and makes the body more susceptible to diabetes.

Now we use the logic, if someone has a weight above 200 pounds, losing 10 to 20 kg may be sufficient in preventing type 2 diabetes, but it is not 100% effective, especially if you are in a high-risk category.

The thing to do is to maintain a body weight being ideal, maintain a healthy lifestyle and consuming the healthy calorie foods as whole grains, fruits and vegetables.

Experts also say that exercising is just nature taking care of the body in order to remain healthy. By exercising, only makes the body gets the nutrients and active only. But it also does not hurt to try it.

The Third Myth is

you could not recover from Diabetes - The answer is yes and no.
Starting right now some medical professionals state that a person who has undergone diet, exercising regularly every day as well as taking medication from a doctor, a person may recover from the diabetes disease.

But some experts argue the other, diet, exercise and taking medication every day merely suppress the effects of diabetes. And someday diabetes can come back again when the weight is not maintained and glucose levels in the body increase again.

The Last Myth is

Type 2 Diabetes Can Turn Type 1 - it is not true. People think that if you have type 2 diabetes and you need insulin injections, it means you now have type 1 diabetes, it makes why doctors no longer mentioned the form of diabetes insulin dependence and non-insulin dependency. Obviously you only have type 2 diabetes that requiring insulin for treatment.

Treatment For Diabetes Using Alternative Method Called Stem Cell

Treatment For Diabetes Using Stem Cell

Stem cell method is basically a method of treatment of diabetes which eliminates the need for insulin injections, as it has been in the know the cause of diabetes is the inability of the pancreas to produce insulin, which the insulin helps to spread glucose into cells in the bloodstream.

When glucose is not flowing smoothly, glucose will settle in the blood stream and this is a major cause of diabetes.

While this method is the diabetes treatment using stem cells. The use of stem cells can stop the progression of diabetes, so you no longer need to give insulin injections to your body.

What is Type 1 Diabetes?

This type of diabetes happened because the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the beta cells in the pancreas that has function producing insulin. So that, the cells inside the body couldn’t absorb glucose.

When glucose is not able to spread through the bloodstream then it will settle in the bloodstream and cause glucose levels of blood to be high. If it is increasing, it can cause organ damage, ketoacidosis, coma and may result in death.

What Are Steam Cells?

The steam cell is a cell that can convert themselves into specialized cells such as insulin that could produce beta cells in the pancreas. Additionally steam cell also has the ability in repairing body tissues and organs by dividing itself indefinitely.

They can be derived from the extract from bone marrow, muscle, and brain. It can also be called as adult stem cells.

The cells are taken from this area will be able to be a substitute for the cells in the pancreas that has some function in producing insulin so it can make Glucose spread and absorbed into the cells through the blood stream smoothly. This is a phenomenal way and steps that should be tried in order to treat diabetes naturally.

Main Purpose Of Stem Cell Method

The purpose of the utilization of Stem Cell is for stopping and prevent the immune system attacks the beta cells in the pancreas. Although in this way couldn’t reverse diabetes 100%.

Because this method is only for stem cell treatment of diabetes that aims to stop the degeneration of the pancreas so that it could functioning again in producing insulin. But at least, this way can reduce the risk that caused due to diabetes.

Thus, this method is less effective when applied to the long-term diabetic patients, the most suitable for implementing this method is for those who are newly in the diagnosis of diabetes, because the function of the pancreas has not been so damaged and can be fixed.

But it does not harm when trying to use this method for long-term diabetic patients because a person's health condition is very different from each other.

The Research About Diabetes Steam Cell Treatment

A study in Brazil declared that after 1 month or more the treatment using this method, the function of the pancreas becomes back to normal.

This study applied to patients aged between 14-31 years. The doctor uses a device to eliminate cells in the bloodstream and deliver hormones and drugs that aim to move stem cells from the bone marrow into the bloodstream.

After 2 weeks of the treatment, patients received chemotherapy for 5 days which aims to destroy the immune system attacks the beta cells that have been in the pancreas.

After 5 days of chemotherapy, the patient was given time to rest for one day, and after the resting for 1 day, patients subsequently had been given their own stem cells for 12 days.

It aims to create a newly immune system that does not invade or destroy the beta cells in the pancreas and make the pancreas function back to normal and be able to produce insulin.

With the proper functioning of the pancreas to produce insulin, then it was expected for helping glucose in the bloodstream  spreading throughout the cells in the body.

The Result of This Method

From 20 patients who had been treated using this method for approximately for 1 month or more. 12 patients proven have stopped taking insulin, 2 patients no longer require insulin injections for 18 months.

5 other patients had insulin-free for 23 months. And the only one who did not get the effect of treatment using this method, it may be due to diabetes disease already progressed for a long time.

According to Dr. Jay Skyler, along with the Diabetes Research Institute at the University of Miami School of Medicine, even if the patient still requires insulin injections, this treatment successfully save and keep the beta cells of the destruction that caused by the body's immune system attacks.

Cause Of Diabetes and What Cause Diabetes?

Cause Of DiabetesThe cause of diabetes is highly variable depending on the condition of each individual body. There is no common cause that affects a person affected by diabetes, it is because diabetes itself is divided into three parts, namely diabetes type 1, diabetes type 2 and gestational diabetes, and some causes are different.

To know the exact cause of diabetes, first you have to understand what the Glucose is and how the body processes glucose.

Glucose functions in the body

Glucose or sugar in the body serves as a source of energy for the cells in the body in the formation of muscle and other tissues in the body.

Here's how the body can process Glucose:

  • Glucose derived from the results foods that you eat every day and also comes from your heart.
  • In order for sugars can be absorbed into the bloodstream, the sugar needed assistance insulin to gain entrance into the cell.
  • The results of the food stored in the liver and produce glucose
  • Glycogen in Liver has a function to control glucose levels in the body in the normal range, so when your glucose levels are lower, caused you late to eat for a while, then Glycogen in your heart will be broken and can cause liver disease.

To find out what the causes of diabetes are very complex, because diabetes is caused by several things. It could also because of the function of insulin in the body not function properly.

If the insulin’s function could not work properly, then the body could not produce glucose and that one thing become the cause of diabetes. Here're the function and ways of working of insulin:

The Functions of Insulin in the body and How it Works

Insulin is a hormone that similar types of the polypeptide which is derived from the pancreas gland.

The main function of insulin is as a balance controller for glucose in the blood and also has a function to increase glucose uptake by the cells of the body. The failure of the body to produce insulin is it can cause glucose could not get into the cells and it is that can cause diabetes.

Here's how the insulin in the body:

  • Pancreas produces insulin and it’s out of the pancreas into the bloodstream.
  • Insulin spread into the bloodstream and helps glucose to enter the cells in the body.
  • Insulin acts as a controller level of sugar levels in the blood flow in the body.
  • If your sugar level down, it also resulted in the secretion of insulin from the pancreas come down.

After finding out how the function of insulin and glucose in the body then this is the time to find out the cause of diabetes based on its type.

The First is Cause of Diabetes Type 1

Cause Of Type 1 DiabetesActually, the exact cause of this type of diabetes is still unknown at this time. But usually, people with diabetes after being checked and the results are caused due to viral or bacterial infection and toxic chemicals in food and are the main the cause of malfunction of the immune system which resulted in the cells that produce insulin in pancreas be not functioning properly or in other words become damaged.

This is what causes diabetes because insulin couldn’t be produced well then the glucose / sugar in the body couldn’t be spread throughout the body and settles in the bloodstream.

Although much people argue that the cause of the disease is also caused due to genetic factors that when parents who have diabetes then their children will also be at greater risk of developing diabetes. Although that, it had not been definitely medically.

The Second is prediabetes / diabetes Type 2

Cause Of Type 2 DiabetesIn type 2 diabetes, the body will become resistant to the action of insulin, it also pancreas couldn’t produce enough of insulin to overcome insulin resistance, resulting in glucose builds up in the bloodstream that should spread into the body's cells.

Other causes could be in because of environmental factors, genetic, age, unhealthy lifestyle, a strict diet. People who have obesity are also at greater risk of developing by type 2 diabetes.

Third is the Cause of Gestational Diabetes

Cause Of Gestational DiabetesDiabetes Gestational is could be called as Diabetes during Pregnancy, this is because of happened when a woman is pregnant. In pregnancy, the cells would be resistant to insulin, this is because the placenta produces hormones that can sustain a pregnancy.

Usually during pregnancy, the pancreas produces extra insulin which aims to overcome insulin resistance. However, sometimes the pancreas could not produce extra insulin resulting in very little glucose get into the cells and more stays in the bloodstream so that it is the primary the cause of Gestational Diabetes.

While other Causes is as the Following:

  • Pancreatitis or Pancreatectomy. Pancreatitis is known to increase the risk of diabetes.
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The main thing that causes PCOS is insulin resistance due to obesity, which can also cause the risk of type 2 diabetes
  • Increased production of cortisol hormone that causes increased blood glucose sugar levels or can be called Cushing's syndrome.
  • Glucagonoma. The disease that occurs when a lack of balance between the production of insulin levels and Glucagon, and patients with the glucagonoma more prone to the disease.

That some several causes of diabetes which appropriate types of diabetes may be additional insight about what cause of diabetes. Whatever it is, if you have not been diagnosed or affected by diabetes, it is better you maintain the health of your body to avoid diabetes, by carrying out healthy lifestyle patterns, exercising regularly, eating healthy foods, etc.

Hopefully, the above article helped  ...
